Hiring Spanish-speaking MST Therapists

What is this role and who should apply?

We are currently looking for Spanish-speaking mental health therapists to join our Multisystemic Therapy (MST) team. MST therapists provide mental health services to at-risk youth and their families who are impacted by the juvenile justice system and truancy court. MST is an evidence-based, intensive family- and community-based treatment program that focuses on addressing all environmental systems that impact at-risk youth, their homes and families, schools and teachers, neighborhoods, and peers.

The job is challenging and rewarding. Therapists meet with families in their homes and communities to deliver short-term and effective therapy. In order to thrive in this role you should be warm, adaptable, organized, and tenacious.


Responsibilities include:

  • Consistently meeting with clients and families in their homes and community, engaging primary caregiver, client and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment.
  • Maintain agency productivity requirements.
  • Adhere to the documentation requirements of Medi-Cal, Contra Costa County and MST.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with referrals sources, colleagues, and community resources.



  • Candidates must be graduate students or have a graduate degree in psychology or a related field. Canditates who are licensed or license eligible are preferred.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license,dependable vehicle, a good driving record,  and adequate insurance coverage.
  • Candidates must understand the necessity of maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding Protected Personal Information (PPI), and compliance with laws and regulations including HIPAA



  • Hourly position starting at $25.00 with a 5% bilingual Spanish differential, a 5% licensed clinician differential and driving mileage reimbursement.

  • Ability to accrue four (4) weeks of vacation, 12 sick days, plus 10 paid holidays per year.
